Nicole Grant

Dr Nicole Grant


Nicole has been an Occupational Therapist for over 15 years, working with both adults and children with a range of injuries, disabilities and special needs.

Nicole is goal-oriented and uses a range of intervention strategies, depending on the specific needs and goals for each individual. Nicole is a mother of two, and understands the importance of considering the needs and wants of all members of the family when establishing therapy goals.

Qualifications Bachelor of Science with a Major in Applied Psychology, University of Southern Queensland, 2001 Master of Occupational Therapy Studies, University of Queensland, 2002 Doctor of Philosophy, University of Queensland, 2016

Senior Occupational Therapist

Janet is an experienced and highly successful clinician. She has continued to seek professional development opportunities across a range of fields, and has acquired competency working with individuals of all ages. Her background has included working with older adults, but more recently she has specialised in working with challenging behaviours.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, gained from the University of Queensland in June 1978 Graduate Diploma of Education (Special Needs), gained from Griffith University in 1991 Other Training and Professional Development: Major and Minor Home Modifications – 2 day workshop by Liz Ainsworth, 2005 OT Australia Sensory Processing – 3 day workshop by Gillian Fowler

Animal Assisted Therapy Dog (in training)

Therapy Dogs are trained to help facilitate interaction, break down barriers, and decrease anxiety so that kids can participate fully in therapy.

Darcy is a Golden Retriever, born on 9 December 2015. Darcy will be trained as a therapy dog when he is bigger. Right now his job is to welcome visitors and look cute!   Update: Darcy starts his therapy dog training on Monday 22 August 2016 at Therapy Dogs Australia.

Administration Assistant

Daniela loves working with our families, and is a wonderful support to the therapy team. She is a cheery voice on the phone to answer any queries you may have, and is a bright face to greet you when you come in to see our team. Daniela is also an integral facilitator of our Cool

Lisa discovered her passion for working with children following her experience working with them in both school, clinical, and various volunteering settings. She values being able to participate in a child’s journey to equip themselves with the support and skills needed to engage comfortably in activities that are meaningful to them and their families.

Rosalyn Pullman

Senior Occupational Therapist

Ros has experience working with children with a range of needs including neurological, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ros actively engages in ongoing professional development to support her clinical practice.

Rosalyn began practicing occupational therapy in 1986. She has worked in both the UK and Australia. Ros specialises in paediatrics, and enjoys working with children with complex and dual diagnoses. Ros provides therapeutic, evidenced based early interventions to support achievement of developmental milestones and to promote independence. Rosalyn’s practice is guided by a child/family centred approach that is motivating and meaningful

Melissa Homann

Teacher of the Deaf

Better Start Fully qualified Teacher of the Deaf. With a current CPE membership with National Association Australian Teachers of the Deaf (NAATD). HCWA complementary provider – Teacher registered with Queensland College of Teachers.

As a teacher of the Deaf, Melissa has worked in schools for 13 years.  The experience she obtained during the past 9 years as an Advisory Visiting Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students has provided Melissa with the skills necessary to deliver individual intervention programs for children with a hearing loss.
